Principal Chief:
Jed Duhon is a lifelong resident of the Lake area and has lived in the Manchester settlement for the past 20 years. He is the proud father of four children and has been the owner and operator of Duhon Roofing Company since 1982. Jed is a direct descendant of Cyprien Duhon (Cukuhu-1) and Henry Mermentau. His family has long been devoted to preserving and promoting Native American culture and heritage, and they actively participate in festivals, tribal gatherings, and powwow events.

Council Secretary:
Carlene Richard Robinson serves as the Secretary for the Attakapas Eagle Tribe. Originally from Elton, Louisiana, she is married to Clinton Wayne Robinson of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. The couple has been married for 30 years and are blessed with six children, eighteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Carlene deeply values family time and enjoys participating in cultural gatherings. A skilled beadwork artist with over 30 years of experience, she creates handcrafted necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and lanyards, which she showcases and sells at festivals and powwows throughout the region.

Council Member:
Martha Abshire LeJeune, a respected member of the Eagle Tribe, has long been involved in Native American affairs throughout the Cameron, Sweetlake, and Elton areas. She currently resides in Elton with her husband, Gordon, and their four children. Martha has dedicated many years to assisting with tribal genealogy and strengthening family connections within the Native American community. She is also the dance coordinator for the tribe and is known for creating vibrant regalia and shawls for members. In addition to her tribal contributions, she works in the seafood industry, harvesting shrimp and oysters. Her Native American lineage includes the LeBleu, O'Blanc (LeBlanc), and Leger families from various parts of the Attakapas District.
